Regional Brewers Big Day Out
Now in its 11th year, the annual Otway Oktoberfest for 2018 will be held on Saturday 6th October between 11.30 AM and 5.30 PM at Otway Estate – Home of the Prickly Moses brewery, 10 Hoveys Road, Barongarook.
Let your nose for a good beer take you directly to Otway Oktoberfest on Saturday 6th October from 11.30 AM to 5.30 PM.
Apart from loads and loads of great beer, there'll be some great Bavarian food, traditional Oompah music, slap dancing, German carnival games, brewery tours, fun & games and lots, lots more.
As well as the incredibly popular Prickly Moses brewed on-site at Otway Estate the Otway Oktoberfest will feature great brews from local regional producers including Red Duck, Rogue Wave Brewing Co, Bells Beach Brewing, Southern Bay Brewery, Barrabool Hills Brewery, Flying Horse Bar & Brewery, Crowes Nest Brewery, Forrest Brewing Company, and Bellarine Brewing Co.
There'll be a tempting range of local craft beers for you to taste at the annual Otway Oktoberfest.
The very popular Home Brewing Competition returns again this year offer a First Prize of $300 cash, Second Prize a $100 voucher redeemable at the Queenscliff Brewhouse and a Third Prize of a $30 voucher redeemable at the Great Ocean Road Brewhouse, Apollo Bay. Entry to the Home Brewing Competition costs $25 and includes entry to the event.
A variety of souvenir Steins will be available ranging in price from $15 to $25.
Taste and Talk Masterclasses will be staged at 12.15 PM, 1 PM and 1.45 PM where participants will be able to meet the Brewer, learn about the brewing process, ingredients used and of course taste the final product. Cost is $10 per person.
As well as the hugely popular Prickly Moses brewed on-site at Otway Estate there'll be 9 other local brewers vying to tempt your palate.
Online tickets are available and cost Adults $20, VIP entry including souvenir 500 ml Stein, 2 free fills, Carnival Game Ticket, Pretzel Necklace, Masterclass session and VIP Lucky Dip costs $90.

Otway Estate is 166 kilometres southwest of Melbourne, about a 2-hour drive via the Princes Freeway/M1.
Bus transfers will be available as follows:
From Colac Railway Station departing at 11 AM and 11.45 AM, cost $14.
From Gellibrand General Store departing at 11.30 AM, cost $14.
From Apollo Bay via Lavers Hill, departing the GOR Brew House at 10.30 AM and picking up at Lavers Hill Tavern at 11.10 AM, cost $26.
From Apollo Bay via Forrest, departing GOR Brew House at 10.30 AM and picking up at Forrest Brewery at 11.10 AM, cost $26.
From Queenscliff, departing Queenscliff Brewhouse at 9.15 AM, cost $35.
From Geelong via Waurn Ponds, departing Geelong Railway Station at 10 AM and picking up at Harvey Norman, Waurn Ponds at 10.20 AM, cost $30.
