Otto - 8 Out of Ten for Italian
With a longstanding record as one of Sydney's premier restaurants, Otto Ristorante at Sydney's Finger Wharf in Woolloomooloo continues to deliver top notch food, service and views, providing a feast for the taste-bud and the eyes.

To live well is to eat well has always been the focus at Otto. A friendly welcome, spectacular views and water side location added to simple fine food makes Otto a great place for any occasion.

Otto's ability to reinvent the flavours of Italy in stylish new forms has attracted acclaim both internationally and locally. Popular with local celebrities and socialites, it is easy to see why this restaurant is a true Sydney establishment.

Offering glamourous Italian food in a waterside location with views of Sydney's best real estate and boats, Otto is an experience to be had, and if you haven't been here before, it should be on your list. It would be hard pressed to think of a more perfect place to while away the afternoon during a long lunch.

Otto is a SMH Good Food Guide One Chef's Hat awarded restaurant, and the menu is constantly evolving with Modern Italian dishes that will surprise and delight.

Entrees such as the Seared Scallops, served with Veal Sweetbreads, Potato Chips and Caperberries, is presented like an artwork. Beautiful in appearance and taste, this entrée is worth ordering.

For something light and fresh, one can opt for the Caprese Salad, with Tomato and Buffalo Mozzarella, which is served with a zesty Olive Tapenade.

The Three Cheese Zucchini Flowers are not to be missed. Perfect in size form and taste, the delicious batter melts in the mouth and oozes with a delicious trio of cheeses.

The Pasta at Otto is made fresh by hand, daily on the premises, so it would be a mistake not to order a pasta dish.

The Spaghetti with fresh crab meat, tomato, garlic and oil, is cooked to al-dente perfection, and is saucy and slithery. The flavours are outstanding, and the dish cannot be faulted.

If you still have room for dessert, one might find it hard to choose from the list on the menu, due to the great choices. All sounds good, so the Dessert Platter designed to share, can meet all these needs, taking bits and pieces from many of the sweets on the menu.

Otto Ristorante is definitely a 'treat yourself' or special occasion restaurant. Dearly priced, it is worth the visit for the beautiful setting, attentive staff, imaginative and seasonally fresh menu and extensive wine list. It has all the perfect ingredients for a superb restaurant.
