The oak tree produces delicious food
Named after the 100-year-old oak tree in the courtyard dining area, O'Tree has been operating since 2016. Its cuisine is modern Australian, showcasing local Yarra Valley produce.

We have dined there four times, all to celebrate special occasions, and have never been disappointed, and always look forward to our next special occasion.

The entrance lets you know where you are.

Our latest visit was for lunch and the spacious dining area, while not full, was very quiet. The diners were spread throughout the restaurant almost giving the impression of private dining. This impression was enhanced by the attention received by the staff, little things like ensuring our water was always replenished.

No restaurant would be complete without mentioning the food.

My entrée choice was one of my all-time favourites – slow cooked pork belly.

My main choice was pork belly porchetta, apricot & thyme, herbed baby potatoes, braised red cabbage & raisin, soy caramel and chimichurri.

My wife chose grass fed porterhouse served pink, mushroom gruyere glaze, sweet potato & caramelised onion gratin, vine ripened tomatoes, truffled greens and jus.

Dessert? We both had blood orange, strawberry and chocolate gelati with pistachio biscotti.

Apart from the food, I judge restaurants and cafes by the little, sometimes unnoticed things.

I love my cappuccino. One of the little joys of life is to sip upon a hot coffee. I always ask for a very hot coffee and O'Tree obliqued – twice.

Our lunch cost for two: Entrée, Main, Desert and two coffees $128-00
Lunch: Open Tuesday to Sunday 9.00 am to 4.00 pm.
Dinner: Friday & Saturday: 6.00 pm to 10.00 pm.

Every Tuesday to Friday they offer an A La Carte breakfast. Lunch and afternoon tea menu from 9am – 4pm. Weekends begin with an indulgent buffet breakfast, followed by Lunch and afternoon tea.
