If you're looking for a simple, good value breakfast or lunch in Caloundra, try Otranto's Cafe. Centrally located, on the corner of Bulcock Street and Otranto Street, with indoor and outdoor seating, it's a great spot to watch the comings and goings in Caloundra.
The food is tasty and very good value. My husband tried the breakfast deal which included bacon rashers, eggs, tomato, thick toast and a choice of coffee or juice for a bargain $12.95. I chose the special of local mushrooms, bacon and thick toast ($8) which was delicious.
There was a tempting selection of savoury scones and other baked goodies - I will try the spinach and fetta muffin next time I go. The lunch menu included a good selection of burgers and crepes. Drinks options included freshly squeezed fruit and vegetable juices and great Merlo coffee. If you're staying in Caloundra mid-week, don't miss the half price coffee deal on Monday to Friday mornings from 6am to 9am.
