Orphanage Park can be found just off Goodwood Road, in the old grounds of the Goodwood Orphanage. While the orphanage holds a dark history, this new park and playground manages to bring fun and play into children's life. From quiet walks, to games of tennis, to fun playground games, there is lots to do at Orphanage Park.

This is a nice area to come for a stroll or a walk with your dog. It is a dog on leash area, but there is still plenty of space for you to take them around. Kids can play ball games on the large oval, or practice for the big game. You can stroll down pass the creek, or relax on one of the park benches. There are also bike paths that run through the park, which are also good places to help the kids learn to ride.

There are also some good places to have some lunch at the park. Not only can you find a place on the grass, by the playground, or under the shade of the tall gums to have picnic, but there are also picnic tables around the park for you to use. To cook up some food there are multiple barbecues located near different parts of the park.

One of the best parts of the park is the large playground. It is in a large fenced area, and has equipment that is still fun for older kids, but suitable for younger ones too. There are slides, climbing frames, and swings. Kids will also love the giant tire swing, and the mini rock climbing wall. Even heading through the rest of the park there is fun for the kids, if you look hard you'll find a hopscotch court by one of the walking paths.

Any sports fans can not only practice on the oval, but they can also take advantage of the tennis courts, and basketball hoop. There is only enough space for one game of tennis, so it is important not to overstay your game if there are others waiting.

There is something for everyone at Orphanage Park. Whether you're looking for somewhere for the kids to play, or just somewhere nice to walk around. There are plenty of facilities to make this somewhere you can spend all day. You'll find barbecues, toilets, and plenty of space for everyone to enjoy themselves.
