Oriental Garnish is a family owned Asian cuisine restaurant at Littlehampton in the Adelaide Hills. They specialize in Chinese, Malaysian and Thai food utilising local produce and they do it well.

From the moment you enter the spacious restaurant you are made to feel at home by the friendly owner Marliza Lau and her staff. Unlike many Asian restaurants it isn't styled with typical décor but has more of a modern, warm, pared back and crisp style.

The restaurant is spacious with two distinct areas for dining as well as a separate and very comfortable lounge waiting area where takeaway orders can be picked up from without disturbing patrons dining in.

The warm atmosphere and elegant décor adds to the ambiance and tables are set far enough apart for people to dine undisturbed by others. The restaurant is still very family friendly though with children welcome. It is also available for private functions and can seat a maximum of 70 persons.

The menu has a range of dishes from starters such as spring rolls, satay skewers and dim sims, to soups, vegetarian dishes, rice and noodle meals, and stir fry options.
There are also tantalising and unique desserts on offer that are too tempting to pass up. There is an extensive wine and beverage list featuring some local wines.

All of the meals are made with the freshest of seasonal vegetables and all of the meat in our choices be it chicken, seafood or beef, was tender and served piping hot.

We declined the offer of a banquet style dinner in favour of selecting individual dishes but it didn't take long for everyone to be swapping what we each believed was the best we'd had in a long time. From the moment our entrée of spring roll and steamed dim sim arrived we were taken with the initial feast for the eyes, then the crisp and fresh flavours.

Our main course meals arrived and we were again impressed with the mix of colourful vegetable and meat combinations on white crockery which was a feature in itself.

To finish we selected a range of desserts from a citrus tart with just the right amount of sweetness and tartness, to a brandy basket with homemade baileys almond ice cream.
However the dessert that had the most visual impact had to be the trio of homemade ice creams on spoons. The flavours giving the ice creams their distinct colours were green tea, Baileys and almond and black sesame.

Prices for meals ranged from an average of $5.90 for starters to $18.50 for many mains with the most expensive dishes costing $23.00. Oriental Garnish is also featured in the Entertainment Book so diners with this card can save an extra 25% of the total bill.

Oriental Garnish can be located on the main road through Littlehampton, at 70 North Terrace. It is open 6 days a week for dinners on Wednesdays through to Mondays from 5.00pm to 9.00pm. The restaurant is also open for lunches from Thursdays to Mondays from 11.30am to 2.30pm. Off street car parking is available at the back of the restaurant.

More information can be found on their website . The restaurant doesn't appear big on social media, but then their food does all the talking they need.
