It's difficult when one of your friends is gluten free, particularly when trying to find somewhere to eat. So when I met up with my girlfriend for brunch I was pleased when she suggested a place to eat - .

The decor has reference to the ACMI, with film reels piled up on high ledges. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. I particularly liked sitting in the booths, a little different and they gave us the illusion of some sort of privacy.

At 11am on a Saturday morning the venue was very quiet. We had to order by going up to the counter but the food was brought to the table. The staff were very friendly and left us to chat with each other without trying to move us on.

The food was good and so was the coffee. It was a bit cold while we were there but I can imagine on a warm day it would be nice to sit outside and watch all the comings and goings.

[ADVERT]Not too far away from the main action of Federation Square but far enough to be slightly sheltered from all the chaos of the main screen and the open entertaining area of Fed Square

Comments on the menu: It's very broad, something for every body and it's gluten free/friendly.
Booking: No need.
Getting there: It's past Time Out Café and on the left hand side towards the back, near the entrance of the ACMI.
Parking: As always in the city, it's better to go in by train or tram as parking comes at a cost.
Disabled access friendly? Yes
Kid friendly? Yes
