A fresh and witty adaptation of Shakespeare's Hamlet

The Day Dream theatre group is proudly presenting a special performance of Ophelia's Inner Monologue on Sunday 2nd of July, 2017 at Library at The Dock. All tickets are priced $10.

Ophelia's Inner Monologue is a contemporary adaptation of William Shakespeare's Hamlet, which was written and directed by Aridhi Anderson (the founder of The Day Dream).

In this exciting new production, the classic tale of Hamlet is explored through the character of Ophelia, the potential wife of Prince Hamlet.

A young girl's already-complicated life spirals into chaos when her boyfriend's uncle murders his father and marries his mother… Ophelia struggles to find a balance between exploring her identity, fulfilling her duties towards her family and society, supporting her unstable boyfriend through his darkness, and finding light in her own. At the end of her rope, she turns to the internet for advice.
Ophelia's Inner Monologue offers a fresh and witty exploration of the timeless themes of love, identity and death. It is guaranteed to provoke thought and emotion amongst the audience, as well as a generous dose of laughter.

The Day Dream will present this play for one night only at Library at the Dock, before embarking on a tour in New Delhi, India.
