Does Your Child Like Adventure?
30 June & 1 July 2018, Ipswich Racecourse
219 Brisbane Road, Bundamba, Q, 4304

Operation KiddyHawk returns with an event for children who love a physical challenge and playing in the mud! Children aged 3-13 years can enjoy a purpose-built 2km obstacle course over a terrain of dirt, mud and through the water.

Muddy Obstacle Course for Children

The course is based on a mini version of the adult course, known as Battlefield Challenge (also held on the same days). The course is run every half hour with limited numbers, allowing for active supervision and assistance from qualified trainers.

My five year old son and his friend participated in this event last year. After a little initial apprehension, the boys threw themselves into the challenges. The trainers were very supportive and encouraging. At several activity stations, they were even allowed to enjoy a splash in the water areas whilst waiting for other children to complete the task.

Please keep in mind that this event will be held during the cooler winter period. Last year, sprinklers were provided for children to rinse off the mud, however most were reluctant and required significant coaxing. Ensure to bring a towel and a warmer set of clothes for children to change into.

Early bird tickets are currently available at just $20 www.operationblackhawk.com/kiddyhawk).

Older children and adults can also register for the Battlefield Challenge via the website. Ticket sales assist with fundraising efforts for Autism Spectrum Australia.

Your children will love this activity - it is physically demanding, adventurous, rewarding and of course, very muddy!
