Sunday 5th of February through to Sunday 12th of February are set aside for Operation 10,000. Between 6am and 8pm daily, all things swimming and water safety will be taught and discussed.

Operation 10,000 is a RLS initiative "to teach 10,000 kids how to swim, and help educate parents at the same time, within 10,000 minutes at Customs House Square!"

Customs House Square is located right on Circular Quay.

There will apparently be a big swimming pool set up at Customs House Square. The program of events will include talks, swimming lessons, water safety awareness and the opportunity to meet sportspeople.

Check out the Swim Kids website which will tell you a little bit more about the Royal Lifesaving Society and Swim Kids.

For more information about Operation 10,000, please see the Customs House website.
