The Brisbane-based Underground Opera Company (UOC) has been travelling to the Sunshine Castle for the past seven years, thrilling and delighting audiences season after season with their opera performances and a dash of musical theatre. The UOC professionally produce world-class performances in unique locations across Australia.
The Sunshine Castle, whilst not being the usual 'underground' venue, provides a totally unique space in the Banquet Hall with its excellent acoustics and atmosphere, providing an intimate environment for the Underground Opera Company's sensational performances. This in turn, provides the perfect opportunity for The Underground Opera Company to continue to boost arts in this part of South East Queensland.

Be prepared to be carried away on a journey of music created by world-class performers and accompanied by an outstanding pianist. The Opera in the Castle programme features a concert of popular opera, with arias such as Nessun Dorma from Turandot, duets from Lake and The Pearl Fishers, with ensemble pieces from Nabucco and Rigoletto and so much more!
