Immerse yourself in ten unforgettable days of creativity and discovery in the vibrant art scene of the Sunshine Coast. Open Studios Sunshine Coast provides a rare opportunity to meet talented local artists in their own creative spaces, go behind the scenes, connect directly with makers and support the region’s artistic community.



Follow the curated Art Trails as they travel through the lush green mountains of the hinterland from the Glass House Mountains to Mapleton and along the pristine coastline from Caloundra to Coolum and everywhere in between, exploring local studios, purchasing unique artworks, participating in hands-on workshops with artists, all whilst gaining a deeper appreciation for the diverse artistic landscape that perfectly defines the Sunshine Coast.



This year, 2025, the art trail will be showcasing an exciting variety of mediums, including ceramics, drawing, glass, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, textiles, metalwork, woodwork, jewellery and so much more. No matter whether you’re a seasoned collector or a first-time art lover, Open Studios Sunshine Coast is your opportunity to experience exceptional local art and purchase directly from the artists themselves.



With many studios and galleries dotted along the hinterland and coastal trails, Open Studios encourages visitors to take a self-guided tour behind the scenes, to attend workshops and to meet and purchase from some of our region’s most talented artisans. Pick up a copy of the event guide available at Visitor Information Centres, Art Galleries and local cafes and businesses, as well as at the studios of all participating artists. The free Art Trail guide profiles all participating artists and provides suggested Art Trails and maps to help plan your self-guided tour. The Art Trail Guide may be downloaded online here too.



Open Studios is held every year over two weekends - the first weekend proudly exhibiting the exciting hinterland’s art trails and artists and the second weekend, showcasing the scenic coastline’s art trails and artists. On the days inbetween, Open Studios Sunshine Coast will be showcasing workshops, exhibitions and demonstrations, aimed at providing artistic outlets for visitors to learn from and create with local artists.

Open Studios Sunshine Coast has once again partnered with The Old Ambulance Station at Nambour to bring together the group exhibition 'Meander 2025'.
Tickets to the opening are FREE but please make a booking via Humanitix here.
Start your trail adventure at the Old Ambulance Station in Nambour. This group exhibition showcases the work of most of the artists taking part in Open Studios Sunshine Coast 2025.

Choose your favourite Art Trails, Hinterland or Coastal, and then get ready for a couple of amazing weekends, with week-day workshops and demonstrations added in, exploring local creatives and their private sanctums - ten unforgettable days of creativity and discovery!
