Graffiti right in the heart of Darling Harbour

Open Street Art is an exploration of street art, also known as graffiti, currently on display in Sydney's Darling Quarter. This is a free public exhibition in the Civic Connector, between the two corporate office buildings in Darling Quarter, transforming the area into a colourful corridor for conversation, creativity and debate.

Open Street Art is an exhibition of site-specific work by internationally-renowned artists Anthony Lister, Beastman, Shannon Crees and Twoone. The art stems from a graffiti origin and seeks to redefine the cultural relevance of graffiti as an artform. Open Street Art attempts to promote a mutual respect between artist and audience and to embellish the Sydney CBD with delight and surprise.

The artwork has a distinct street appeal and clear graffiti flavour. Each work is striking and unique, and draws the eye right into the work with the bright colours and contrasting imagery in each work.

The artwork is displayed in sets of four, with four pieces by each artist. Each piece is distinct in its character and appeal.

Open Street Art at Darling Quarter is running from Friday 21 September to Friday 26 October, 2012.
