Celebrate the multiculturalism & diversity with this event
The Open Marrickville Festival is all about embracing the key theme of sharing diversity and culture across generations.

This Festival celebrates multiculturalism through the many events such as storytelling, music, dance, art, theatre, food and simply gathering together.



This free family friendly event will be filled with a range of cultural activities and entertainment including poetry readings, cooking classes, arts and crafts workshops, exhibitions, and more.

This ten day festival will include a range of cultural events ranging from Greek, Italian, Portuguese, Lebanese and Chinese cultural festivities. There will also be a national anthem singing competition, short film festival, art exhibitions, a ping pong tournament, museum open day, and a children's festival!



The Festival program will also include a School Concert from Fort Street High School, galleries including painting and art classes, Greek myths and Greek food, dancing and music, multicultural football tournament, Arabic Dance Party, puppet shows, cultural stories, Tai Chi for seniors, Chinese workshops, modern songs, dance, martial arts and food and plenty more.

This is one event that is filled with a huge range of diversity and unites all communities together to celebrate Marrickville's cultural community. Do not miss out on this Festival!
