In July 2013, Open House Melbourne is returning to Melbourne for the 6th time to regale Melburnians with free entries to grandiose buildings and houses, which are usually off limits for the general public. This highly popular and award winning event will commence on 27 July 2013 for 2 whole days, with a record, jaw-dropping figure of 111 open buildings. After a highly successful year 2012, this year Open House Melbourne promises to be bigger and better.
Open House Melbourne will be offering greater and more extensive opportunities to both locals and tourists to explore and experience Melbourne and its elegant and highly acclaimed architecture and design. Free access will be granted to a diverse range of places including places of worship, underground tunnels, creative workspaces, television studios, museums and so forth. These landmarks are located all around Melbourne. Many of these buildings will entertain visitors with free guided tours, giving visitors opportunities to find out interesting and fascinating nuggets of information.
Like any other event, volunteers will be an important factor in making this event a roaring success. Now if you can feel the good Samaritan rising within you, then why not consider volunteering for this impressive event.
