Foundation Park is a diamond in The Rocks. You head through an unmarked door and through a narrow passageway, and then become ensconced in Foundation Park, a collection of housing remnants dating back to 1874. It was transformed into a park in the 70's and is a multi-levelled site. There are no signs to this important place, but I can tell you that it is located at Gloucester Walk, behind the Playfair Terrace shops. The site is in between George St and Cumberland St in the heart of The Rocks.
A group of UTS Third Year Interdisciplinary Design Lab students are repackaging it for one-night only with six individual installations. This Open House is a part of The Rocks Village Bizarre Opening Night. These talented students will present six markedly different themes to provide a fresh perspective on time, history, our city at night and our magnificent Sydney. So come down, and see The Rocks in a different light!
