I am a freelance writer and photographer from Sydney who has now had five books published on fishing. I also write for the Fishing Monthly Group and Australian Fishing Network. I also like to travel and experience new things to do.
Event:
A day out for everyone
It's been just over two years since I have been writing about the great work that the Friends of Linnwood House do.

They are a group of dedicated people who after a community-led campaign was successful in saving the Linnwood Estate from being sold and redeveloped. The Friends of Linnwood Inc formed in 2002 and hold regular Open Days to raise money for continued restoration and conservation work on the house.

On Sunday the 12th of November, they will be holding their last Open Day for 2017 between 11am and 4pm. I have been to a number of these Open Day and it's an event not to be missed as there is so much to see and do for you, family and friends. You will be amazed at cars from the following car clubs;

It's also rumoured that a XW-XY (1970 TO 1971 MODELS) Ford Club will be there as well. Plus, you will be able to see the display of vintage motorbikes the Vincent HRD Owners Club.

All of these cars and bikes have been fully restored by car and bike enthusiasts who will be there to talk to you about their passion for restoring them. If you are not into cars and bikes, then don't worry there is plenty more for you to see at the 2017 November Linnwood Open House.

While listening to the great sounds of the Duck River Band, who will be playing at 12 noon out the front of the house, you could grab yourself a coffee from the Café Influence van or a bite to eat from the BBQ. Also, outside will be the Western Sydney Woodturners and the Traditional Tools group displaying their wares.

For a small fee of $3 per person (children under 5 are free) you can go inside Linnwood House and check out the Holroyd Art and Craft Society stand, the Carnival Glass Collectors display, ladies from the Australian Lace Guild and the Brislington Museum will have a stall there again.
