Amazing holiday resort
The luxurious 4 star Opal Cove Resort is located on Pacific Highway - a short drive from Coffs Harbour's city centre. Set on 36 hectares of beautifully landscaped gardens, the resort offers 130 luxurious hotel rooms each with its own private balcony and views over the Pacific Ocean or the resort's gardens.

The resort is an ideal place for families, couples or corporate visitors and offers excellent facilities including two swimming pools and an outdoor spa, 9 hole golf course, tennis court, a day spa, sauna and a gym. It is situated on the beachfront of Korora Bay, providing its guests access to a beautiful secluded beach, which is perfect for leisure walks and playing in the sand. As the beach is not patrolled and can get a bit rough, it is not recommended for swimming.

Opal Cove Resort runs a kids' club in the The Lizard room for children aged 5 to 12 years and is open during the day and evening. Opening hours vary depending on the time of the year, so it is best you contact the resort directly to find its availability. For children under 5, the resort offers a babysitting service.

The resort features several different accommodation styles including:

Resort rooms which are situated in the main resort building and offer luxury hotel style accommodation, consisting of one queen bed plus double sofa bed, one queen bed plus single bed or two queen beds.

Suites are located on the ocean side of the main building and feature separate bedroom and living areas. They contain one king bed in the bedroom, and two double sofa beds in the living area.

Villas are just a short walk from the resort facilities and beach. There are 28 privately owned self-contained villas comprising two and three bedrooms and featuring a private balcony or terrace and barbecue. The villas are privately owned, so decor may differ.

Four bedroom beachfront units are set just metres from the ocean offering two and a half bathrooms, full kitchen and dining room, double garage, large flat screen televisions with Austar channels, private balconies from all bedrooms and laundry facilities.

The resort has a non-smoking policy in all rooms including balconies and internal areas, however there are designated outside smoking areas.

Horizons Restaurant and Bar is located on the beachfront and overlooks the swimming pool and the ocean. It serves modern Australian cuisine and its menu changes seasonally.

Coffs Harbour is a great weekend getaway and holiday destination, whether you wish to relax or take part in lots of fun activities.

Some of Coffs Harbour attractions include:

Dolphin Marine Magic , where you can interact with dolphins, seals, penguins and many other sea creatures.

The Clog Barn , which allows you to explore miniature Dutch villages and watch how clogs are made.

Coffs Coast Camels - ride a camel on the beach an experience you will never forget.

And naturally, there is also the well known Big Banana, where you can go water sliding, ice skating, watch candy being made or go tobogganing.

Whatever you choose to do, Coffs Harbour has something for everyone and Opal Cove Resort is the ideal place to stay.

I love Coffs harbour. The pet porpoise is the best thing, plus the beaches.
