Take a big bag
If you like to do a few Op shops in one day, check out these shops at Underwood/Kuraby. One thing they have in common is that they are all a bit awkward to get into - 3 are on the service roads beside Kingston Rd and the one on Compton Rd is on a divided road.

However, they are all nice big stores with lots of goodies, so well worth the trouble.

1. RSPCA is tucked behind the RSPCA retail store. It is beautifully set out with good quality, reasonably priced goods. I found a pair of brand new shoes in the box for $12, nearly new tea towels for 50c each and a blingy hairclip for $2. The staff were super friendly and delightful.

So much to choose from.

2. Lifeline is close by (not where it used to be - close to Golf Pro)
It has only been open for 5 weeks so still has some opening deals. I got a bag of really good books for $5, packs of notecards for$1 and a wooden toy for $2.

3. Salvos is across the road in a strange little side street running parallel to Kingston Road. They always have a huge range of china and glass wear and usually have lots of furniture. This is is an enormous shop. Today's haul was just a few toys but there were some lovely jackets.

4. 1 World is further South on Compton Rd on the way to Springwood. It is also huge and had a good range of sports equipment and lots of handbags and purses.

Op shops are always interesting, even if you don't buy anything. They deserve all the publicity that they can get.
