Pinjarra Road is where the bargains are to be had
Op-shopping heaven!
Toys glorious toys!

Op-shopping in Mandurah especially on Pinjarra Road is a real treat. There a oodles of op-shops in Mandurah - it really is a bargain hunter's paradise! I have chosen three top Op-shops, on one of the main arteries of Perth's second biggest city, Mandurah. Some are a little hidden - blink and you might miss them! But all have some fantastic treasures if you have a keen eye.

The best thing about being a patron of these stores is that you are helping the local Mandurah Community as well through your purchases. Money raised at these op-shops goes right back in the community through various projects. So you can grab a bargain and help support those in need. Now that's something to feel good about!

Some wares on display
Glasses galore!

Before you hit the city centre of Mandurah on the right is the Uniting Church Op Shop - it is well signed, but you would drive straight past it if you didn't know it was there. Located on 156 Pinjarra Road tucked away behind the church in quite a big shed, this Op-Shop is awesome and well known for charging five dollars a bag for op-shop finds. The ladies who run and man the store are friendly and chatty and there are books, bric-a-brac and some great clothes all at ridiculously low prices. The Church also supports the community through Rainbow lunches ( meals for people living with mental health issues), crisis support and school support providing lunch vouchers to those who have no access to suitable funds or food.

Zoila's Community Op-Shop is a self-funded charity organisation that is doing great things in the Mandurah area. They often too, have five dollar bags. The shop is huge, so there is something for everyone - including some great pieces of furniture and an entire wall dedicated to women's clothing. Located on 98 Pinjarra Road, Zoila's is a must stop not only for all the op-shopping bargains but also because Zoila's is a big supporter of the Women's Refuge in Mandurah as well as the Mandurah Soup Kitchen. Just two of the organisations that benefit from Zoila's amazing work.

If you head left off Mandurah Road towards Pinjarra the May Day Op
Shop is situated on 17 Davey Street Mandurah and is another gem with a huge selection of well, everything! They are slightly more expensive than Zoila's and the Uniting Church but the range and selection of clothes, bric-a- brac, books and shoes is sure to impress.

Happy shopping op-shoppers!
