Ootong and Lincoln - this café may have an odd name but they produce some seriously good food and coffee. Locals and visitors alike flock to this unique little place with its unusual vintage décor - tricycles hanging from the ceiling, laminex tables and vinyl chairs - it's all very retro.



You will find Ootong and Lincoln in South Fremantle and they serve an assortment of top-notch healthy foods including vegan and vegetarian options. They have an extensive menu with great breakfast and lunch items.

The thick fruit and nut toast with jam is unusually delicious and the buttermilk pancakes with honey cream and lime ($16.00) are particularly good. For something less sweet the mushroom, tomato, fetta, rocket and basil pesto on toast ($15.00) and the omelette with ham, cheese and zucchini ($16.50) are equally delicious, especially if you prefer a more savoury option.

Ootang and Lincoln have a range or freshly made baguettes, rolls, burgers, sandwiches and salads for lunch, plus plenty of hot items such as hot dogs, polenta, veggie patties and lentil patties. They also have a large range of yummy home-made cakes and baked goodies.



Fresh fruit juice at Ootong and Lincoln is great value at only $7.50 for a small jug which gives you more than a regular single serve. Coffee is cheaper than most places too with a cappuccino costing $3.80, hot and creamy - they get their coffee specially blended for the café from Dimattina.

Ootong and Lincoln has a take-away café dock in the front by the entrance that serves take-away coffee for $3.00. It's a great idea, especially if you are in a hurry, because this means that you can get in there and get your coffee fast. There is also a small providore pantry right by the entrance, stocked with all of their homemade goods for you to pick-up and take home.



There are plenty of tables and chairs, inside and outdoors, loads of room and a special area for the kids to play in - it's a real family friendly place.

Open Monday to Sunday from 6am till 5pm, Ootong and Lincoln can get quite busy, especially on weekends, so you have to get in there early or try them out on a weekday when it's a little bit quieter.

Relaxed, friendly and welcoming, Ootong and Lincoln will quickly become your favourite 'go-to' cafe.
