Pamper yourself at this hidden oasis
This gem of a spa is nestled within a forest of greenery just five minutes from Joondalup. With its sprawling lake and shaded grounds one easily feels transported to somewhere much further from Perthian suburbia.
On visiting Onyesha Spa, the sun-dappled car park alone melted away some of my suburban gripes. Upon crossing a shaded stream into the reception my sense of tranquility only grew as the subtle scent of incense beckoned. The receptionists were bright, cheery, professional, and oozed a sense of calm, which is to be expected when your office is a green oasis of tranquillity.

I was promptly led to a shaded table in the garden, offered refreshments and allowed some time to drink in my surroundings. I had my phone with me but wasn't the least bit tempted to check my emails or Facebook, which must surely say something about the soothing atmosphere of the place.
After relaxing in the garden, I was greeted by a smiling beauty therapist and guided indoors to a beautiful wooden candlelit room. I was booked in for the "Festive Treat" since I had been lucky enough to receive a voucher from my boyfriend. The treatment came with a few different choices. I chose to be pampered with the Facial and Bodybliss Foot Treatment.
The facial features the spa's own natural skincare products, which smelt earthy and divine. They contain precious essential oils, authentic clays and earth minerals although I can't say I was too concerned with the specifics of the ingredients as I quickly drifted off into an ultimate state of relaxation.
By the time the treatment was over I felt extremely relaxed. My skin felt amazing and was glowing, just as promised. I was ushered back out to the garden and offered a range of fruity and spicy teas, advised to drink plenty of water and then offered a little plate of goodies, which included dried fruit and a morsel of Christmas cake.
The spa menu is extensive and includes an entire wellness menu, with treatments such as Reiki and Reflexology. I would wholeheartedly recommend this hidden treasure to anyone seeking to treat themselves to a little time out and pampering.
Husbands, boyfriends and partners - take note because you will most certainly be in the good books for a long time to come if you chose an Onyesha Spa voucher as a gift, trust me.
