Aratula lies on the Cunningham Highway just before Cunninghams Gap and as a result it has become the gateway to both the scenic rim and to locations to the west such as Warwick. Whenever we are hiking in the Main Range National Park we always stop over in Aratula for coffee, tea and food.
The One Stop Cafe is an amalgamation of both traditional country and modern cafe cultures. Whether you want a burger and chips or an organic, gluten free vegan meal you will be satisfied. All for a reasonable price.
There is limited seating inside and often there can be a crowd lined up inside for the counter service. Your better option is almost always the outdoor covered seating where they have big picnic style wooden tables and benches setup.
Aratula itself contains two cafes, a pub and a great fruit and veg shop for locally grown produce. Both the other cafe and pub have good reputations, however we have been so happy with the food and the friendly service at the One Stop Cafe that we haven't even thought of trying the other options.
The cafe also has an adjoining shop that includes local products and antiques. Most of my friends take the opportunity to pick some locally produced jams and honey when they are in Aratula but the rest of the shop is worth a browse.
