Located in Versova (Andheri West), Mumbai, is a junction where clothing and cuisine meet. It's a perfect weekend planner for shoppa-fooda-horlic. Order your snack while you shop your new ethnic wear and once you are done shopping, grab your snack right away.
The junction is the brain child of two close friends turned entrepreneurs, Shinjini Raval and Arpita Paliwal. Shinjini's love for clothes and Arpita's love for food gave a boon to this novel concept. "1.6- Called Phi or the Golden Ratio of Nature is said to be aesthetically pleasing. The golden ratio appears in numerous patterns in nature, and that is the inspiration for our concept cafe." says Shinjini.
The clothes are made of 100% cotton fabric. A range of traditional wear from trendy kurtis to long skirts, everything can be found here. Shinjini, herself, designs each of these with amazing creativity and lots of love. The block and flower prints, cool and contrast colours, blend in to form a sustainable fashion. Some of the bags are made from recycled materials or left-over fabrics.
Their packaging material is made from palm leaves by rural communities. The accessories are hand-made by local artisans. Each has a unique style of its own. You definitely cannot find its replica easily. This boutique has something in store for everyone, male and female alike. Although it's a cute little shop, you have trial room at your service. Grab your perfect fit. With a start price of INR 1600, one can easily hop in and shop as much, because it takes care of your pocket too.
Food here is prepared with minimal to no use of chemicals and all the waste generated is biodegraded to ensure harmony to mother nature. Make your visit anytime between 11 am to 9 pm to enjoy their minimal yet tempting range of dishes from Maggi, sandwiches, bagesl to coffee and even bhajis. One can grab a bite of snack at an average cost of INR 250 per dish. You could just drop by to spend your lazy afternoon cosying around with a book and coffee. And yes, the light music in the background would also be there to accompany you.
Head straight to One Point Six, your Clothing and Cuisine junction. Where you can just spend a lazy time munching your snack, or maybe barge in to shop your ethnic wear and end it with a relaxing cup of coffee. Would you still give a second thought for your next weekend plan?
