The battle of Pozières was a brutal two-week fight for the French village of Pozières, as well as the ridge it is located on. This battle is particularly significant in Australian history, due to the high number of Australian casualties incurred during this First World War battle.

Anyone interested in war history, or this particular battle will enjoy this free one-hour talk from 5.30-6.30pm on Thursday 4 August, 2016 from Australian War Memorial historian, Dr Hampton will "explore the allied efforts to capture the OG (Old German) trench line near Pozières, France, in 1916".
