Update March 17th 2020
COVID-19 UPDATE 17 MARCH:

In response to recent developments with COVID-19, Sydney Living Museums has made the following decisions about our visitor operations and programming:

• All public programs have been temporarily suspended until 26 April including onsite learning programs, performances, talks, walking tours, along with all school holiday and vacation care activities.

• The closure of On the Move exhibition at Museum of Sydney and Rouse Hill House & Farm with Lego® Bricks at Rouse Hill Estate due to the hands-on elements of these exhibition.

• The closure of Susannah Place until 26 April due to access being via guided tour only.

With the exception of Susannah Place, our remaining museums and historic houses will remain open to the public for general visits and self-guided group bookings.

The safety and well being of our visitors, staff, volunteers and the community is a priority. We are taking these steps as a public health precaution in support of measures to contain COVID-19. We will continue to monitor updates and take guidance from the NSW Government, and will respond promptly to any new information or advice.

Perfect for children aged 3 to 8 years

Sydney Living Museums is currently presenting 'On the Move', an exciting interactive exhibition which explores how vehicles have evolved – and imagines what they might be like in the future!

Created in collaboration with renown illustrator James Gulliver Hancock, 'On the Move' is set to inspire children aged 3 to 8 years.

Journey into an interactive world of transport and discover fascinating facts about different modes of transport and types of vehicles.

Discover how transportation works in busy cities, and how the fuel choices we make can have a positive impact on the environment.

Learn amazing facts about Australian journeys and inventions, and meet the fascinating people behind them.

Plus children can get hands-on and tinker in the mechanic's shop, construct a paper plane and see how it flies, and build a vehicle of the future using LEGO®.

'On the Move' is now showing at the Museum of Sydney and open daily from 10am–5pm.
