I'm a beginning writer with a Brisbane Bucket-list and a desire to see it all and report back.

You deserve this
An hour south of Brisbane, hidden away in the hinterlands of Neranwood is a spectacular little day spa with a spectacular view. Now that I have discovered this amazing day away I'm sure it will quickly become my regular haunt for the days when I want to spoil myself. I've already counted three other "events" this year (Weddings, Birthdays, Tuesdays) I can use as an excuse to pamper myself once more at On Eagle Wings.
I'm very grateful my good friend introduced me to this enchanting venue and even more grateful that she chose to spoil me for my birthday with their Full Day Restoration Day Spa Package. This package includes over 10 luxurious moments that together created the most relaxing day I've ever had in my life. The following will review each perfect moment, so you can know exactly how wonderful the day will be if you ever decide to pamper yourself too.
We enjoyed a berry beverage upon arrival whilst soaking up the view.
Before even stepping into the building you are in for a massive surprise, as On Eagle Wings boasts a view like nothing you have ever seen before. As you pull your car into a parking spot you are met with a stunning valley of lush green, and peaking over the hills you can see the entire of Surfers Paradise as well as the suburbs either side. The high-rise buildings litter the skyline, and just beyond them you can see the blue waves rolling on into the beach. The day we visited it was rather rainy and our view was impeded by a sheer grey sheet, but we were still incredibly impressed. I can't image how awe struck I would be if I was there on a sunny day; I would probably be so entranced with the view I would never make it inside.
Infra-red Detox Sauna and Hydrotherapy Mineral Spa However we did finally drag ourselves indoors where we were met by the lovely hostess, who took us on a tour of the venue and taught us how to use each of the spa facilities. After donning our bathers we jumped straight into the Detox Sauna. Infra-red saunas need very little attention, so we sat back (discussed that amazing view) and savoured not having to throw water over heated rocks to keep the temperature up. After enjoying 20 minutes roasting in the 50 degree heat we regrouped at the spa with cups of delicious tea in hand. The massaging jets softened our skin and helped us into a relaxed state for the strenuous day of pampering ahead.
Yummy hot tea and a dip in the Hydrotherapy Mineral Spa.
25m Infinity Lap Pool Although lightly spitting, the rain was never going to stop me from taking a dip in the perfectly located infinity pool. Once again we marvelled at our view (you may notice we did this a lot) and splashed about in the perfectly warmed water. We also watched alpacas and a donkey frolic in the field below us and enjoyed the sounds of the trickling water from the fountains and having the rain sprinkle down upon us. A few laps and 20 minutes later we jumped out of the crystal clear water ready for our massages.
The amazing view from inside the amazing infinity pool.
Therapeutic Full Body Massage (75mins) We changed from togs into… well lets say "smaller" clothing and threw on a clean fresh white robe supplied by our hostess. Our skilled masseuses led us to a wooden room upstairs, which had the perfect ingredients for a relaxing massage; soft lighting, barely audible nature sounds and the subtle tinkling of an indoor water fountain. The massage involved being sprinkled with warm exotic coconut oil that was quickly massaged into the skin passing its warmth right into, and filling our bodies. In the 75 minutes we spent with our eyes lightly closed the ladies were able to take care of ever inch of body and very quickly I found I had to stop myself from falling into a relaxed sleep. I refuse to sleep through massages as I don't want to miss a single wonderful moment and this was the first time I'd ever really had to battle with my tired brain. It was that perfect.
Choose your own body lotion - my pick is Guava and my friend chose Pineapple.
High Tea Our massage was followed by a scrumptious High Tea of sandwiches, hot chocolate and an assortment of desserts. The ladies at On Eagle Wings must be talented with their hands on both bodies and in kitchens, because they made simple sandwiches into melt-in-your-mouth delights. The cakes too were delicious, made with layers of chocolate, strawberries and creamy goodness that ensured they were quickly inside our well-rested bellies. We consumed this special treat whilst flipping through designer magazines and once again taking sneak-peaks at that extraordinary view.
Our scrumptious High Tea for two.
Cleopatra Foot Soak and Dead Sea Mud Foot Wrap Whilst we were enjoying our high tea our fantastic masseuses emerged again to battle the elements and ensure we had somewhere to enjoy our foot pampering out of the now pouring rain. Soon they invited us over to our own hidden haven where we placed our sore working feet into warm inviting water scattered with rose petals. The water had all kinds of magic potions swirling around in it, including drops of peppermint oil that filled the air with its yummy aroma. After our usually high-heel clad feet were rested and well softened they were wrapped in Dead Sea mud that draws toxins from the skin and created smooth touchable legs that I can't wait to show off.
Our feet felt so smooth after our soak and mud wrap.
Full Body Sugar Exfoliation, Facial and Hand Treatment. This assortment of delights was wrapped up in two wonderful hours back in our oasis up stairs. Any stress that was not removed with all the other wonderful treatments was soon scrubbed away with our Pure Fiji Exotic Exfoliation. This wonderful experience again involved having warm liquid poured on the body, which I now maintain is the only way to receive a massage. It also involved being scrubbed down with the exfoliate and wrapped up in warm damp cloths.
The amazing creams and lotions lay lightly on my skin whilst my face was thoroughly and gently cleaned with a fruity smelling potion. Next I experienced something I had never before; a machine that blew hot steam onto my face. As a teen I would often fill my parents' sink with hot water and hold my head over it for the pore opening effect it would allow. However it's nice to see that all these years later there is now a product on the market that perfects this experience all whilst lying down. What made it better was that whilst the machine was attending to my face, my hands were slipped into gloves designed to treat the skin and my feet were once again given a delightful and relaxing massage. I can also confirm that 24hours later the skin of my face is looking and feeling as youthful and beautiful as during my prime years.
Fruit & Belgian Chocolate Fondue This perfect day concluded with a delicious fondue for two overlooking that stunning view once more. The variety of cleansing fruits mixed with the sweet top-of-the-range chocolate made it one of the more delectable fondues I've had. This is definitely saying something because Fondue is my standard go-to dessert and I have tasted a lot over the years.
Overall our Full Day Restoration Day Spa trip was by far the most relaxing day I've had in my entire life and with such amazing facilities and skilled staff it certainly won't be the last time I visit.
