Like a treasure hunter with an aged map, we scoured the streets and tested our feeble Japanese to find our way to Omotesando .

A cafe hidden deep in the bosom of Tokyo pumping out high end Melbourne style coffee.



The coffee scene is arriving in Tokyo with bells on and is at the forefront.

A well used space with a small and soothing bower at it's flank, Omotesando is a cafe aficionado's Japanese dream baby.



The blend is strong and pleasing and the delightful baked custard cubes serve for a gooey, chewy accompaniment to the perfect coffee break.



To reach the treasure, one must wind their way through the urban maze of shops and apartments - which all look remarkable similar should one happen to get lost - but never one to shy from a caffeine related challenge, we combed the streets of Tokyo for hours till we finally reached our goal.



In the end, I was so hot and bothered, it was an iced latte I ordered to stifle some of the midsummer Tokyo heat that was creeping up my collar.



Much like everything else in life, you get out what you you put in and suffice to say, that there's nothing like iced latte to showcase the perfect summer shot.



Our efforts rewarded, we settled down to the peaceful zen vibes flowing from the courtyard.



I left with a second iced late clutched firmly in my paws and a dear paper bag which rattled pleasantly with the sound of fresh roasted beans skittling over one another.



It was tempting to linger longer... but Tokyo city beckoned and we headed out once again, rejuvenated at the well of Omotesando.
