Banyule Seniors Festival Hosts OM:NI Lunch for Older Men
Men have been the backbone of our cultures for aeons, back to the time when they were the only breadwinners and hunters in pre-historic times. Often it was thought they could handle anything and some did, but as our society grows into a more complex and stressful environment, men too, need outlets and social groups to discuss subjects and find comradeship in a safe environment sharing knowledge and experiences.
OM:NI (Older Mean : New Ideas) is the initiative of COTA Victoria and aims to enhance health, wellbeing and lifestyle of older men. COTA Victoria is a not-for-profit organisation representing the rights and interests of people aged 50 plus in Victoria. Their activities and services are funded through government, members, philanthropic trusts, businesses and public.
