Experiencing science in a fun way
No interest in science whatsoever? Well, this might just change your mind.

The Oliphant Science Awards is an annual science-based competition for school students to develop their interest in science and expand their scientific literacy. Students are provided with the opportunity to develop skills such as observation, prediction and communication. Students are encouraged to engage in discussions about science and the world around them.

The Oliphant Science Awards will be holding an Open Day on Sunday 27 August 2017 at Festival Functions in Findon, and everyone is invited to come along to experience science in a fun way. There will be presentations by ZoosSA, Mobile Science Education, The RoboRoos Robotics Club, SciWorld, Engineers Without Borders, The Young Scientists of Australia and The Nature Education Centre. There will also be 'come and try' stations where you can get hands-on with science.

Entry by gold coin donation. Check out their website for the full program of the day. Beware you could fall in love with science after this.
