You have to give the Old Vienna Coffee House at the Queen Victoria Building many thumbs up for their ambience. It feels stylish in such a trendy locale as the Queen Victoria Building. It feels homely and cosy, although the food, coffee and tea is a bit disappointing to say the least.

Whether I have ordered scones or a sandwich from this establishment; I have found the food to be stale and the fillings on the sandwiches quite stingy at times. Not the best eating experience, and not the ideal locale to sit down and have an enjoyable, longish lunch, as there are other fresher and more filling food alternatives in the QVB area.

Needless to say, people are a tough crowd when it comes to expecting the best at the Queen Victoria Building, and when you are surrounded by prestige and paying top dollar; you would expect great service as well. The attention to detail was somewhat lacking with order mix ups through to long waits for the drinks as well.

The decor is stunning as well as the ambience when you actually sit inside the establishment. However, there are better eateries around the city.
