Fancy tasting some cheese for free?
You can find the old Cheddar Cheese Company about 10 minutes south of Busselton, or 2 hours south of Perth. It is nestled in the heart of a rural setting, and one can quite easily miss this exit. So look for a sign that says "Free Cheese Tasting!"

Although the thought of free cheese was inviting, I was more curious to see they had coffee. A two hour drive from Perth was quite an achievement without coffee, and my coffee meter was on empty.

The old Cheddar Cheese Company is just off Busselton Highway. At first you will question the drive to this amazing place as you will need to go down a gravel road to get there. However, the entrance is clean, tidy and very inviting.

Welcome to The Cheese Factory

When we walked in we were greeted with a range of cheeses to taste. I felt a bit like Geronimo Stilton entering in the Cheese Heaven. There was so much to choose from, that the idea of buying one of each came to mind. However, first on the order was coffee.

Too much too choose from

I am a little nervous when it comes to ordering coffee. I never know if it is going to be good or not. However this time, it was well worth the risk, and what a relief to taste an excellent cup of coffee. The girls received a gigantic milk shake container filled with their favourite milkshake. Thankfully I ordered one, because one was more than enough for two little tummies.

After we had our caffeine and sugar fill, we then set on the task of choosing some cheese. It was a hard chose, but we ended choosing 3 types that would probably be enjoyed by all.

The Cheddar Cheese Company is well worth a visit. So next time you are travelling towards Perth, or Busselton (depending on direction of course), stop by this charming and very rustic venue!
