The Capalaba Tavern and House of Schnitzel are proudly presenting their first ever Oktoberfest celebration on Saturday, 1st October 2016!
This family-friendly event will kick off at 10am with a fantastic line-up of all day entertainment, fun children's activities, traditional German food and locally crafted German-inspired beer from Capalaba's own Bacchus Brewery.
From 10am to 6pm, the young (and young at heart) can enjoy the jumping castle and giant slide. Then from 11am until 3pm, you can meet the cuddly animals at the petting zoo and the talented Sam Starrs will be painting faces from midday till 4pm.
The Paradise City "Oompah Meisters" German Band will then perform traditional and well-loved German songs on stage from midday. The live music will continue till the evening with Butler Street playing from 4pm and 8pm and the paradise city German Dancers performing a set in between from 4:45 pm to 5:15 pm.
During the day, Dirndl-clad beer maids will be serving up delicious German-inspired beers and regular lager by local Bacchus Brewery. Highlights include:
