Embrace your inner German at Oktoberfest Brisbane
This October, Australia's largest German festival returns to Brisbane Showgrounds for two spectacular weekends of delicious food, world-famous beers and exciting traditional entertainment!

More than 43,000 culture-seeking enthusiasts attend the event each year and Festival directors Kim and Boris Zoulek promise this year's program will be even more spectacular with the iconic festival celebrating its mighty 10th instalment!

From 6th to 8th and 13th to 15th October, Brisbane Showgrounds will become a mini Bavaria in celebration of Oktoberfest Brisbane 2017!

Don your Dirndl and Lederhosen and join in the culturally-rich festivities. There will be the always popular Oktoberfest Tent, Munich Biergarten, traditional stalls and an exciting entertainment line-up. New for 2017 is Human Foosball - it's 5 vs 5 so get the crew together to battle it out! Plus there's the Bavarian Brewing Competition on both weekends - come and enjoy tasting paddles of high-quality and true-to-style beers and vote for your favourite!

Soak up the festival vibes in the 4000-square metre Oktoberfest Tent with a great entertainment from Bavarian Oompah band 'Münchner Buam', flown in specially from Germany each year, yodeller Heidi, and shoe-slapping, cow-bell ringing performances from the Alpenrosen Dance Group.

The popular Miss Oktoberfest Brisbane, Beardmeister and Bavarian Strongmen competitions round out the action inside the main tent.

A walk outside offers an equally enjoyable contrast with fun activities for kids including carnival rides and the ever-popular KinderZone and the opportunity to explore traditional festival stalls and the most enjoyable aspect of any German festival - delicious food - including Bratwurst and pork knuckle (Schweinshaxe), as well as Black Forest cake (Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte) and other goodies on a long list of German pastries, strudels and European chocolates.

A pit stop at the Munich Biergarten proves a popular place to rest your legs at one of the long timber Biergarten Tables, wash down a traditional German bite to eat with a world-famous beer, and soak up the surrounding atmosphere as the event transitions into night.

No wonder Oktoberfest Brisbane rates in the Top 10 Oktoberfest events in the world! Get your tickets today at OktoberfestBrisbane.com.au/tickets
