Little Bavaria comes to Brisbane
Prosit! Experience a little or even all of your inner German in Brisbane's backyard when Bavaria comes to town at Australia's most authentic and largest German Festival Oktoberfest Brisbane!

The RNA Showgrounds will be transformed into little Bavaria over the weekends of 9-11 & 16-18 October 2015. Now in its eighth year, the festival has its own unique Aussie flavor on the world famous Munich festival with over 37,000 visitors in 2014.

Celebrate all things 'uber ' German with a variety of culture, traditions and of course food and beer in the authentic Biergarten with its wooden floors, tables and benches. Enjoy traditional German food including the likes of sauerkraut with traditional German sausages, pork knuckle and schnitzel, freshly-baked pretzels, lebkuchen hearts and strudel.

Beer is aplenty with the lager and wheat beer ("Weissbier") exclusively crafted by the 300 year old Tucher Brewery in Bavaria; and the German-style dark beer ("Dunkelbier") brewed by the Burleigh Brewing Co. All of the Oktoberfest Brisbane beers are crafted in accordance with the German Purity Law. Choose also from a variety of German wines red, white and sparkling on offer.

Entertainment is truly German with a 6-member German folk band flying in directly from Germany playing their own style of music from rock to traditional folk with a Bavarian flavor. Enjoy yodellers, German dancers, cow bell ringing and leg slapping.

Embrace your inner German with the Miss Oktoberfest Brisbane and Bavarian Strongmen competitions. The Beardmeister competition is a fierce battle of the beards.

Other features for the 2015 Festival include new menu items, new rides and 'OktoberFEAST A Gourmet Exbeerience' with beer connoisseur Matt Kirkegaard and 2014 MasterChef contestant Emily Loo.

The children are not forgotten with the exclusive Kinder Zone with fun rides and petting zoo. Brisbane Roar will be making an appearance at the Torwandschiessen, or Go for Goal corner.
