The Production Company will be kicking off their 20th season with the production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma. It will be staged at Arts Centre Melbourne for a limited season of 11 shows.

Oklahoma, set in 1906, tells the story of farm girl Laurey Williams and her courtship by two rival suitors, cowboy Curly McLain and the sinister and frightening farmhand Jud Fry.

Celebrating 20 years of The Production Company

Simon Gleeson will star as Curly McLain recently returned to Australia after his role of Jean Valjean in Les MisÚrables on the West End. 2017 Helpmann Award winner Anna O'Byrne performs as Laurey Williams.

They will be joined by awarding performers in Bobby Fox, Robyn Nevin, Ben Mingay, Elise McCann, Richard Piper, Grant Piro and Greg Stone.

Ensemble includes Glen Hogstrom, Glaston Toft, Greta Sherriff, Annie Aitken, Amy Berrisford, Embla Bishop, Jared Bryan, Zack Anthony Curran, Alex Given, Courtney Glass, Luke Haberecht, Melanie Hawkins, Georgina Hopson, Stefanie Jones, Andrew Kroenert, Elysha Manik, Joe Meldrum, Imogen Moore, Daniel Roberts, Sue-Ellen Shook, Jordan Turner. Performing as the Young Girls are Chiara Alleva, Rachel Kipnis, Alannah Parfett, Lucia and Valentine Schwerdt.

Musical numbers include Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin', The Surrey With The Fringe On Top, People Will Say We're in Love, I Cain't Say No, Many a New Day and Oklahoma.
