I'm a traveler, writer, student, and teacher, currently living in Constantine, Algeria.
If you're like me and have a great fondness for Korean BBQ and sushi, then you will really love Ohya. Being in the desert, it can be hard to find fresh fish, but the freshness and flavour of the sushi at Ohya is by far the best I've found in the Phoenix metro area so far. They serve the traditional rolls, sashimi and nigri, and expand with some specialty rolls that will leave you wishing for a bigger stomach.
I have recently fallen in love with the Volcano signature roll. This tasty treat will grab your attention as the waiter places the plate with a flaming orange and small islands of fish floating on orange slices in front of you. This dish takes a bit longer to prepare than most, but is well worth the wait. I always make a special request to leave out the eel sauce and spicy crab mix due to a gluten intolerance. The sushi chef and staff are really good about accommodating dietary restrictions when my family requests them. This is something we've come to really appreciate at Ohya.

Volcano Roll - Ohya Sushi
In addition to sushi, Ohya also offers a large variety of Korean dishes, including Korean BBQ that you cook at your table. The perfect way to get your dish cooked just as you like it!
If this isn't enough, they offer happy hour prices and all you can eat sushi or BBQ on weeknights. If you want to take your food to go, remember that the happy hour prices only apply to food eaten there. The regular prices are middle-range, so eating there during happy hour can make your wallet happy as well as your tummy.
