Tastes as good as it looks
Acai (pronounced ah-sigh-ee) is one of the latest superfood trends out there, and I see daily Instagram photos people take of these healthy bowls of goodness. Fremantle has its very own Acai bar so I had to try this new craze out! After a morning run, I popped in to Ohana to pick up an Acai bowl as they are said to be full of antioxidants and vitamins, which is perfect to get the day going. Ohana's products are also all certified Organic, which is important to many. Walking in to this quirky little space, complete with green astro-turf I felt a bit like I was in a California bar than in Fremantle!

There are a few metal stools with a wooden bench to eat inside or tables outside, but not many are in the shade, so I walked down to the park with mine. The staff were really friendly and were very good at explaining how to make your own Acai bowl or what the most popular ones available were. However, as soon as a couple of people come in, you end up having to wait a while for your bowl to be made, but at least it's fresh!

Once I got my pot, I was delighted to see it packed to the brim full of superfoods and other yummy things. For a healthy snack I originally thought around $13 was quite pricey, but when you see how much is packed in to these bowls it is definitely worth it. I actually struggled to finish it, so if you aren't that hungry I suggest sharing one.

The best guilt free snack I've had!

Additionally Ohana serve good coffee and have the standard cold drinks available including coconut water, so it's a real health focused foodie's haven! If you are yet to try Acai, it is definitely the place to pop in and try. Since my first visit I have been back twice in two weeks and plan on learning to make my own.
