He drew his inspirations from the natural formation of rock structures, ceramic seal carvings, and even his own experimental ceramic sculpture work on rock forms. According to him, each of his creations tells its own story.
In this exhibition, we are able to witness the aesthetics of his ink work which is matured, confident and unique as he uses self-ground pigments on rice paper. He constantly develops new techniques for ink on paper and pushes the boundaries of the art in order to create a fusion of Eastern and Western traditions in his artworks.
The artist, who was born in 1960, started his artistic journey at a tender age of 14. He even held his first group exhibition at 15 with famous artists, such as the late Chen Wen Hsi.
