Ogalo Portuguese Style Chicken

People constantly debate over what came first - the chicken or egg? Well, as long as one of them end up on my burger, I honestly don't care. There's always been a hidden battle between Oporto and Ogalo. It has nothing to do with business. This is a battle of customers. Chicken burger virgins would preach that there's little difference between the two burger chains. I spit at your taste buds. Sure, they may host some of the same ingredients but trust me, they do have a few points of separation.

Firstly the roll, unlike Oporto, Ogalo gives you a few options - long and round. Granted, it's not too much of a selection but at least they always come crispy, sturdy and covered in sesame seeds. Ogalo's special mayonnaise can't be compared to. It's sweet, it comes by the bucket load and it's probably the cause of at least 25 heart attacks per year. It's totally worth the risk. If you dare, get extra-mayo - it makes deep-fried chocolate look like a tuna salad.

Next time you Oporto fans feel like a chicken burger, I dare you to give Ogalo a call. Ask for a Long-Ogalo with extra mayonnaise and trust me, you'll never look back. Tell them Michael sent you. Actually don't. They have no idea who I am. Lucky for me, I know them.
