Pizza paradise
For hungry young families and weekend outdoor enthusiasts coming off the Edwardes Lake Park trail in Reservoir, there wasn't a lot of choice of cafes in the immediate vicinity until Off the Boat Pizzeria came along. It's a small place right on the corner of Edwardes Street at the entrance to the park.

All your favourite pizzas freshly made

When I first visited the café with my friend and her kids the delicious scent of garlic, tomato and freshly baked pizzas greeted me. Off the Boat Pizzeria offers unpretentious freshly made Italian dishes catering for various dietary requirements.

There are 15 different pizzas to choose from. After a lot of indecision I settled on the Crudaiola pizza which was tomato, mozzarella, cherry tomato, prosciutto, rocket and grana. My friend went for the vegetarian pizza which had tomato, mozzarella, roasted zucchini, eggplant and peppers on a gluten free base.

For the kids there was a choice of margherita pizza which is tomato and mozzarella, ham is extra or fresh pasta with Napoli sauce. They devoured the magherita pizza.

Towards the end we were feeling daring and shared a dessert of fagottini nutella which is two mini calzones filled with Nutella, it's warm and delicious and oh so naughty.

After eating all that we went and did another lap of the lake but it was worth it!
