There are some designated dog off-leash areas in Rockhampton where your fur baby can exercise, play freely and also socialise with other dogs.

Duthie Park, Frenchville[/LINK]
This park can be accessed via Thozet Road, Marsh Avenue, Lawrence Avenue and Wiggington Street. This dog park is also used by Rockhampton Dog Obedience Club Inc. for dogs that participate in an obedience trail.



Alf Kele Park - Victoria Park, South Rockhampton
Located at the corner of Lion Creek Road and Huish Drive, this dog park doesn't have an obstacle course for dogs to play - it is just a fenced area for dogs to roam free.



Kershaw Gardens, Park Avenue
An obstacle course for dog agility exercises can be found at this dog park. Access via Charles St. Unfortunately this off-leash area doesn't have many shady spots, so better come with your four-legged friends in the morning or late afternoon.



All Blacks Park, North Rockhampton
Access via Lakes Creek Road, this dog park has an obstacle course for dogs to practice their agility. Some shaded areas and benches and a drinking water fountain can be found here.

Rosel Park, South Rockhampton,
Located just opposite from the Quay Street pound, this park is another option to bring your dog to play and have fun.

Eddie Baker Park, Norman Gardens
Access via Currawong Street and Rosella Court, there is a designated area for dog off-leash area not far from the children's playground.

An additional off-leash area that is not designated but is currently known as being off-leash is Georgeson Oval, The Range (access via Meter Street, Normanby Terrace, Gardner
Street, Hawkins Street and Pennycuick Street). This oval is all-fenced and one of the favourite places to exercise with your pet dogs.

Even though these are designated dog off-leash areas, pet owners are muse control their dog, bring its leash, clean up after their dogs and immediately fix any damage their dog may cause. All dogs must have a valid Council registration tag attached to their collar.
