By Stan's Cafe direct from the United Kingdom,
Of All The People In All The World is a startling and powerful installation that brings formally abstract statistics to life using grains of rice. Specific quantities of rice are carefully weighed out to represent a variety of human statistics and some statistics representing Adelaide will also be featured. This is Adelaide exclusive, so you do not want to miss it.
The statistics are arranged in labelled piles of rice. Each grain of rice represents a person. Imagine comparing your one grain to the other thousands and millions. It is moving, celebratory, witty, shocking and thought-provoking. It will cause you to reflect on your place in this world.
This provocative installation will be held in the Drill Hall at Torrens Parade Ground from the 22nd to 31st of May 2019 (except the 27th). It is suitable for adults and children aged 7 and up. Entry is free.
