O'Dea Reserve is tucked away in the inner city suburb of Camperdown but well known to those with kids and dogs, or those that just want a little outdoor serenity in the sunshine.
There are BBQs and picnic tables, often used for both lunch and dinner (once daylight savings hits).
There is a fenced off dog park, where many a canine frolics with his four legged friends. There are also plenty of doggie bags in supply.
There is a gentle slope for learner scooterers and cyclists to get some practice or exercise - while being easily supervised from one of the strategically placed seats.
There is, of course, a great shaded playground that has equipment for a range of ages.
And lastly, my favourite thing in this park is a big old tree, a rare sight in the inner city, with a deck built around it - perfect for those kiddie birthday parties or family gatherings.
