Captain Barnacles at Party in the Park, Feb, 2014
Get your little "Octocadets" ready to join the eight-creature crew: The Octonauts. Led by Captain Barnacles the polar bear, with Kwazii the cat, Peco the penguin, a host of other friends, and some colourful Australian reef dwellers,
The Octonauts Live! Operation Reef Shield joins your little Octonaut in preparing to save the Great Barrier Reef.
The worldwide hit children's animation series
The Octonauts (ABC For Kids), has been making waves since it first began airing on television two years ago; it rates in the top-ten most watched television programs in Australia. The show follows an underwater exploring crew, made up of stylized anthropomorphic animals, a team of eight adventurers who live in an undersea base, the Octopod, from where they go on undersea adventures with the help of a fleet of aquatic vehicles.
Although it is science fiction as regards to its technology, the exotic creatures and locations that the crew encounter in the television series are real marine animals in their natural habitats.
Will The Live Octonauts be able to clean up the murky water that is making the coral sick? When the Octonauts discover that the murky water has brought with it an outbreak of very hungry starfish, they must hurry to protect the reef and its inhabitants in this engaging, gender-neutral, live theatre act for preschoolers and early primary aged children.
