Show off your Sideburns
Wish there was a day you could show off your sideburns? Well, why not do it for a whole month this Octoburn?

October's new name comes from the initiative to fund research for men's cancer. And all you have to do is grow your sideburns from scratch, starting Octoburn 1 till the culmination of World Sideburn Day on the 31st of Octoburn. The great thing about this event is you don't have to be male to show your support. Women and children can also pitch in by making or buying your own 'chops' through the official website, or a supporting outlet. Furthermore, you can hold an Octoburn party or event by registering via the website, and getting your hands on some great tips and goodies to ensure that your sideburns get all the attention.

And its not like you will be alone – there are some great Octoburn Ambassadors who have pledged to help out; including Ashley Harrison from the Gold Coast Titans, Scott Sattler, who played for the Gold Coast Chargers, and Tonie Carroll, who played for the Brisbane Broncos.

All money raised will go directly towards funding a specific research project by the Mater Medical Research Institute for men's cancer. This year, organisers are aiming to raise over $150 000; so be part of this great event and show your support this Octoburn.

So before you go the mo…grow the burn' by participating in Octoburn. For more information, please visit the website.
