Love the price and the views
It is so amazing to live in this beautiful country. The beaches alone bring hundreds of thousands of tourists here every year. They travel great distances to come and love what is in our backyard.

Within walking distance of the walkway!

And in our backyard is the Sunshine Coast. The beginning of it is only 88 kilometres away from Brisbane and it takes about 90 minutes to get there. You can feel like you are away on another continent without even leaving the vicinity.

Views of Bribie Island!

If you are travelling here the Sunshine Coast has an airport so you may be able to land right here and rent a car because you will want to see the coastline as well. If you are close by you can head up for a couple hours, a day trip or even stay overnight.

We like to drive up and stay sometimes as it gives us a sense of being away and we keep finding some really cool places to stay. This time has been no different. We found an amazing place right near Bulcock Beach in Caloundra. It is within walking distance of several restaurants, the walkway and the beach.

The Ocean Views Resort has some good deals on line and you can find the right room at the right price for you. It only has 6 floors so is smaller than some of the larger structures along the Sunshine Coast but not in what it has to offer.

A generous lounging area!

We always like to get an apartment that comes with a well equipped kitchen, allowing us options to dine in or go out. The kitchen in this room is tiny but still serves its purpose. It has a large refrigerator, and washer and dryer if you are staying longer. It is nice and bright, full of windows, a lovely lounging area with which to spread out and a generous balcony.

Now if you have read any of my other articles you will know that we really enjoy the views that come with a lot of water front property along the coast. Well this time we didn't make it a priority and settled for a city view from our balcony. And it was still a beautiful view.

The view from our room!

But there was a surprise in store for us that we did not know about when we booked.

Sunset over the Pumicestone Passage!

We discovered the most amazing rooftop. Now this rooftop allows for barbequing, dining, sitting and having morning coffee while watching the sunrise or wine after dinner while you admire the sunset. There are tables to accommodate several groups of people. There is even a toilet, which is a real bonus, and the glass surrounds that they have used allow the spectacular scenery to be viewed in its entirety, while keeping the sea breezes at bay at the same time.

Sunset and the Glass House Mountains!

This is a million dollar view for a fraction of the price. The Glass House Mountains can also be seen as well as the hinterland, sweeping to the horizon.

The heated pool!

We will come back here again and again. Next time we will remember our bathing suits so we can take a dip in the heated pool.
