Easter Sunday is all about celebrating our beliefs, giving thanks for our blessings and eating chocolate chocolate and more chocolate. It's a beautiful day to spend with family, friends and loved ones.
If you're looking for something different to do, or a way to keep the kids amused once your Easter traditions are finished, then what better than a free one day family street festival with music, art and culture from around the world.
During Easter when we embrace life and all of humanity, a festival that celebrates love between cultures makes a wonderful family day out.
With a variety of musical styles including acts from Australia and international performers, the organisers bring the world to Maroochydore for a day.
International and local acts provide something for everyone
The international variety abounds with Chukale Cuban Salsa, The Babas Bollywood Extravaganza, Zambabem Brazilian Samba, Thump 70's funk and the Icons Greek dancing.
For this writer, the highlight of the day is everybody's favourite Sunshine Coast band, The Floating Bridges. Their awesome mix of funk, roots, rock and reggae is not to be missed.
The festival offers plenty of other great acts as well such as Daniel Champagne, Pacific Island dancers and a dedicated jazz stage, ensuring there's something for everyone.
Traditional and local artists give great performances
The international flavour continues with a host of great eats to be found from the around the world.
Of course, being a family festival, kids are not forgotten with lots of children's activities and rides!

The Ocean St World Festival is on Easter Sunday 20 April from 10am to 8pm, and for those adults inclined to continue the fun, the music continues in the Sol Bar until late.
