There are three challenge options to choose from. Both the 30/50kms and the 70km Team courses start at the Pickled Fig in South Beach and the 10km Family course starts at New Wild Fig Café in Scarborough. All three courses finish up at the Hillarys Beach Park.
The 10km course is aimed at families, beginners and those just wanting to get out and have a ride. So dust off the ape hanger handlebars and wipe down your tassels as the journey begins at 7:30am and costs $80 per family (2 adults & 2 kids), $30 for Adults and $20 for children aged up to 17 years.
For the more advanced cyclist, it's time to lube up those sprockets and slap on the Lycra for a 30km or 50km course beginning at 7am. Adults cost $70 and $50 for concessions aged 16-17 years.
And for the group enthusiasts, the 70km Team challenge takes off at 6am and costs $80 per Adult.
Of course, it is all for a great cause and there are some great fundraising ideas on the website. Ride for a family member or friend who has MS, ride for someone who has MS, match dollar for dollar and most importantly have fun.
Multiple Sclerosis is common, incurable and occurs without cause. My beautiful Aunty still has her wicked sense of humour, zest for life and devoted love for her family. Unfortunately her poor body is no longer able to accommodate her physically which is a harsh reality for people with MS.
So, get the razor out, shave away those hairs and get yourself some aerodynamic power for a wonderful organisation devoted to helping others.
