His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso, shall arrive in Australia for his tenth visit in June this year. As the spiritual leader of Tibet, His Holiness tours the world spreading peace, inspiration and happiness wherever he travels. He is a strong advocate of non-violence as can be seen in his stance against Chinese occupation in Tibet, the country from which he and many other Tibetans have been living in exile since 1959.
This year, His Holiness is turning eighty years old and plans to visit three capital cities around Australia, including Sydney, Brisbane and Perth. As a man dedicated entirely to a life of peace, His Holiness has written seventy two books, and been honored with over eighty four prestigious awards for his efforts in spreading values of non-violence, universal responsibility and compassion, including The Nobel Peace Prize and the distinguished Templeton Award.
Sydney: June 4 - 10 Brisbane: June 11 - 12 Perth: June 13 - 15
If you live in any of these cities, it is well worth attending one of the public talks, or Buddhist teachings which are being offered at this time.
